The X/Y/Z triad at bottom right turns with the scene: it tells you which way you are looking. It does not appear in exported images.

Damping is the inertia of the rotation: 0 stops the scene as soon as the mouse is released.

A narrow field of view flattens the perspective (nearly orthographic), a wide one exaggerates it. The two planes bound what gets drawn: raising the near one or lowering the far one makes parts of the surface disappear.

Azimuth and elevation aim the directional light like a sun: the shading reveals the relief of a surface, which stays flat under ambient light alone.

Colorbar size
75%
Past this limit the colorbars wrap instead of widening further.
Colorbar headers
If enabled, you can use , , symbols, etc.
Ticks
Shared scale
With different scales the same colour means different values: two surfaces cannot be compared by eye. It applies to grid surfaces; point clouds and vector fields keep their own scale.

System font stacks: nothing to download, so the result is the same on every machine that has them.
Axis X
1.00
1.00
Visible range in box units (−2 … 2 = everything): it clips the view without touching the data.
Ticks X
1.00
Used only when Auto‑ticks is off
Used only with Format = sprintf. E.g. %.2f, %+.3e, %d
Axis Y
1.00
1.00
Visible range in box units (−2 … 2 = everything): it clips the view without touching the data.
Ticks Y
1.00
Used only when Auto‑ticks is off
Used only with Format = sprintf. E.g. %.2f, %+.3e, %d
Axis Z
1.00
1.00
Visible range in box units (−2 … 2 = everything): it clips the view without touching the data.
Ticks Z
1.00
Used only when Auto‑ticks is off
Used only with Format = sprintf. E.g. %.2f, %+.3e, %d
XY plane
1.00
XZ plane
1.00
YZ plane
